The Baukasten Mini is a complete joint rolling case in pocket format: rolling tray, mixing bowl, paper dispenser, filter clips and a stash box in a case barely bigger than your phone. 3D-printed from corn-based bioplastic in South Tyrol. Rainbow is one of a kind. The color gradient is created during 3D printing, so every single piece looks different. Sometimes more pastel yellow, sometimes more pink, sometimes more mint. The product photo shows three Rainbow pieces side by side so you get a feel for the range. Which combination ends up with you is down to the printer. That is exactly the appeal.

The Baukasten Mini comes in two versions. Same case, different contents.

• Case Only: just the 3D-printed Baukasten Mini in the color of your choice. Stash box and packer are always part of it. For everyone who already has their grinder, papers and filters sorted.
• Complete Set: the case plus a Grinder XX-1, a BIC Mini, Hybrid Longpapers and a Bag 22 with 22 Hybrid Supreme activated charcoal filters. Flip it open and get straight to it.

Nothing changes about the Baukasten Mini itself. Only whether you still have to hunt things down before your first session.

What makes the Baukasten Mini special

How the rolling case is built

• Rolling tray: the heart of the whole thing. Open on both sides, so you just slide the paper out sideways.
• 180-degree hinge: opens completely flat, with space to mix in the lid.
• Paper dispenser: pull out one leaf at a time, no fumbling.
• Stash box: room for 1 to 2 g of herbs, right inside the case.
• Filter clips: made for Hybrid Supreme activated charcoal filters (Ø 6.4 mm).

Good to know

• Avoid temperatures above 50 degrees Celsius, otherwise the material can warp. So don't leave it in the sun in your car.
• Keep away from children because of the small parts.
• Not dishwasher safe.
• The material is food-safe: direct contact with your herbs is no problem.
• Allergy note: the built-in magnets contain nickel.

Cleaning and care

• Wipe off normal dirt with soap and water.
• Brush it out regularly, a stiff-bristled paintbrush does the job.
• Treat grease marks or fingerprints with high-percentage alcohol.
• Smooth out scratches or small loose fibers carefully with a lighter flame or fine sandpaper (grit above 1500).

What is a joint rolling box?

A joint rolling case is a compact all-in-one case for rolling: rolling tray, mixing bowl, stash box, paper dispenser and filter clips in a single housing. The Baukasten Mini packs that setup into 13.2 × 7.5 × 2.7 cm, barely bigger than a smartphone.

What is the difference between Case Only and Complete Set?

Case Only gets you the 3D-printed Baukasten Mini including the stash box and the poker. The Complete Set adds a Grinder XX-1, a BIC Mini, Hybrid Longpapers (32 leaves) and a Bag 22 with 22 Hybrid Supreme activated charcoal filters. The box itself is identical in both versions.

Does the Baukasten Mini work for left- and right-handed rollers?

Yes. The rolling tray is open on both sides, so the Mini works equally well either way.

Which filters and papers fit inside?

With the filter clips: 6 mm and 6.5 mm activated charcoal filters. Without the clips: any filter up to 6 cm long. For papers, standard king size papers fit, for example our Hybrid Longpapers.

Is the Baukasten Mini smell proof?

The box is not fully airtight. With your herbs inside the stash box, though, the Baukasten Mini is close to smell proof.

How big and how heavy is the Baukasten Mini?

13.2 cm long, 7.5 cm wide, 2.7 cm high. Without accessories it weighs 105 g. Your jacket pocket barely notices, your session definitely does.

Will my Rainbow look exactly like the photo?

No, and that is on purpose. With Rainbow the color gradient forms during 3D printing, which makes every piece one of a kind. The color proportions and their order differ from piece to piece. The product photo shows three Rainbow pieces side by side so you can see how much they vary. We cannot guarantee a specific color distribution.
